Canterbury Photographic Society has been around a long time! It was originally established in 1898 and has continued through many times and changes.
That said, we are a forward-looking, creative group who enjoy meeting and sharing together our love of photography.
We have a varied and wide-ranging Programme each season which includes guest speakers, competitions, practical sessions, members evenings, and link ups with other clubs in the area. We hold a two week annual Exhibition and participate in regional and national photographic competitions.
Our members are into many areas of photography: macro, nature, street and documentary, sport, landscape & post processing composites to mention but a few…
Why not come along one evening and see for yourself? We are a friendly group of mixed abilities and wherever your interest lies and whatever your level of photography, you’d be very welcome.
Our season runs from the beginning of September till mid-May, and we meet at the spacious Memorial Hall on Tyler Hill, Canterbury every Wednesday 7.30pm (except the third Wednesday in the month.)
During the Summer months, we regularly get together for shoots in different locations across our stunning East Kent area to improve our practical photography skills and learn from each other.
